Michigan Mud Bog

One hell of a good time!! I guess that’s how I would describe it if someone asked how the trip to Michigan went last weekend. 4XM took a journey east to central MI and filmed at Dan Perkin’s Bog. Right on arrival I could tell by the trucks that were there and the tour of the pit that this would be a great event. The hole was a deep black pete bog that swallowed every truck there even the ones with 70″+ tires. Trucks of all sizes attempted to conquer deep holes and air out on the jumps built to wow the hill full of spectators(3100 at the gate!!!) Four dozers kept busy pulling out stuck trucks and keeping things moving. The mud bog wasn’t the only great thing out there though, the good times were had from the time we got there. Dan and the guys were trying to finish up a truck in the barn while we watched muddin videos and maybe took some rubber off of tires the hard way. The barn quickly filled with smoke that rolled off of rhino and superduty tires on the pad outside. I have to thank Randy for talking 4XM into making the trip,Dan for having us out to his place,Brian for making sure we got around and had what we needed. It’s great to go to a place that has the same feel as home and that’s what we had at Dan’s bog. Ultimate Truck Series Memorial weekend Dresser Wi. 2010

4xmayhem was invited out to film the very first Ultimate Truck Series race at the Mn go 4’s annual memorial day weekend event. The event itself was action packed and well organized with trail rides,live music and an off-road playground. Now for the racing!! The racers ran a hill in hole course that was set up in an oval and ran “Chicago style” and added that other element that took a wild ride and put some trucks on the side(and one skidsteer) Three trucks rolled over in the battle for cash and prizes!! I wasn’t sure what to expect when 4XM accepted the invite but, if all their races are like this the stands will always be full!! Alot of people have repairs to do including 4XMs own Simon Havican who tore a shock off launchin his truck “Hellraiser”. Others left with new body damage and one guy even left with a new nick name Josh(Air Mail) Deziel who tried to send his 79 Ford to victory in the air shoving the chunk of a rockwell into his oil pan when it landed. A great treat for all was the debut of Dave Hunt’s Dominator, although a short show due to the transmission expoloading, this truck seriously gives me goosebumps it’s that Badass!! On a good note none of the drivers were hurt. Of course I’d like to thank the UTS for having us,Russ”swamprat”(unlimited class winner)for buying the first round and the Mn go 4’s for taking good care of us while we were there.

It was a small turnout but I think everyone had fun and ppl enjoyed the show thank you all for participating,spectating and volenteering.

Also there are bussinesses that threw down prizes for the racers we really appreciate the support. Everyone that entered went home with something of value of atleast the 20 dollar entry fee.

Snow Boggin!!!

We were invited out to Mudfest on Feb. 6th for a day of Wheelin in the snow. The craziness of the guys wheelin in Minnesota has gone off the charts!! They would just back up get a run at it and launch into the air it was fabulous!! Acouple standing out were the rear engined blue Ford that repetedly jumped the snow piles and then the big coil sprung chevy that will definatly have some steering issues to repair but great show off balls jumping a truck that size!! Ofcourse there was a handfull of snowmobiles and ATV’s having fun too not to mention two UTVs with extra hard windshields!!! you know who you are. Thanks again Wrinkle Family and all the people who helped out plowing snow for the event. Your the best!!

First off what a great event!! There are things to be expected when heading to a mud bog in florida Big trucks Big party and Hardcore racing. We saw all of this this at Muddi Gras. The thing we see there that we see nowhere else is the buggies what an awesome way to get around it’s like rolling partys everywhere. We saw more Crewcab Mudtrucks down there than anywhere even past a dodge crewcab mega cab rollin 52s on the road. We took tons of pics and great video footage for our third dvd we are really excited to get this one done we’ve been to soo many great events this year!! I have to thank Mike Kelly for having us down for the event we enjoyed the festivities and everything that goes with it. Thanks to everyone that helped us get around (we were transportationaly Challanged) since we flew in for it. Baldy, Gator, Intense off-road and Duce Dan and Steve O from Jersey. As usual florida events draw a crowd from all over the country to 4wheel party and watch the big rockwell axled trucks race. There was straight line mud drags and monster trucks but the big draw was the chicago style mud racing putting the big bad mudders against each other. Crazy huge trucks with rockwells, tractor tires and huge Hourse power!! We will definately head back to Florida and MuddiGras in our future. Thanks for the good time Muddi Gras

This event should all but Wrap up the mudding season in minnesota for 2009. We had a great year and finished her of with a bang. People were definatly not afaird of the fridged temps. I woke up to 27 degrees and snow on the ground and expected everyone to back out. When ipulled in there were people unloading trucks and throwing snow balls at eachother (and Me) I knew it would be a great day. There were tons of big trucks and everyone was playing extra hard because most of these trucks will be put away for the winter and some of them will go right into winter projects. Thats what they do in minnesota in the winter repair, rebuild and uprgade. One truck for sure was the Zodiac he knew that the truck was to be retired after this run and decided to go out instyle launching it off a jump in the middle of the hole a real crowd pleaser. oh yeah and I can’t forget to mention MudSlinger skipps water!!!

Rod’s Bog

Hey we went to an really great event this past weekend called Rod’s Bog. The smaller bogs are awesome we get to meet more people which is always a plus! The mud was probably the best we’ve seen this year we love peat bog it looks really cool to see a truck trowing huge roosters and three foot chunks of earth flying in the air. I call it moving Real estate call it what you want it’s bad ass!! beside the chilly wheater it was great can’t wait to go back again!!

End of summer bash at the Eriksons

We go to this “Party” every year and it just keeps getting better. They can’t help but add more excitment to top the year before. It all started some years back with a burnout contest some food a a dj to party to at night. I showed up acouple years ago in my jeep to find some of the boys had brought there mud trucks and couldn’t help but join in. Now every year there is car crushing and burnouts and truck burnouts. This year they had a wrestling show including midget wrestling and midget bowling. The trucks that showed were quite impressive it was the Grinch,Mudslinger,The great pumpkin,Sams ford, Nick Eriksons SB Chev and Reckless. These fellas were airing it out over the cars doing wheelstand forward and backward. The Muscle cars were awesome too. The party again was great there was even trike racing inspired by some of the boys who just didn’t want to stop competeing after the trucks were done. Thanks again For having us we really enjoyed it. We’ll be back
